This textbook is riddled with typographic errors and egregious mistakes, to the point of making it barely readable. I'm appalled that this is the seventh edition of this book. The author must've given the copy editor a steaming pile of trash to work with, because what has been left in surely would stick out like a sore thumb to anyone who has a solid working grasp of English. For some reason, the author hilariously calls millennials "milleniums" and misunderstands what an acronym is. It takes twice as long to get through as a normal book, since you have to reread it over and over in an attempt to clarify what the author is getting at. Terrible.
Too many examples, verbose, and endless definitions. I feel (but have not tested) that you can study the boxes (visual layout of the concepts in grey background) and just read the text relevant to those boxes and learn better then the endless examples and descriptions. Since there are formulaic aspects of training, checklists would be nice.
I wish the textbook was more concise with the application questions.
This book is well written with insightful information for business students and veterans. Get it if you need information about employee training.
I'm renting this from Amazon for a college course. I beg of you, if there is any way to convince your teacher to use another book, DO IT. It is terrible to read. I legitimately fell asleep during the first chapter. Even my instructor didn't like it.
Book shows up fine and on time. No complaints. Book itself was pretty boring
The text is too small and the book lacks images and graphics.
The information was very straightforward, but there were so many mistakes and unnecessary repetitiveness. It was truly difficult to believe that this was indeed the seventh edition.
